About Us
The Elder Issues Committee was established in 2006 to promote and encourage older adults in our community to live a safe and healthy lifestyle. Overall, committee initiatives focus on education, linkage to elder service organizations, chronic disease management and retirement planning to improve quality of life and longevity for the growing population of older adults in Miami-Dade.
Goals
The goals of the Elder Issues Committee is to ensure that the older adults in our community are living a safe and healthy life by working to strengthen policies and encourage systems and environmental changes.
Meeting Information
The Committee meets every last Tuesday of each month virtually via Microsoft Teams from 2:00pm – 3:00pm, with quarterly in-person meetings hosted at partner organization sites when announced (check Events calendar for details on home page).
